Fogged glass, I can’t see a thing!
I’m sure everyone has seen a window that looks like it has been raining on a clear day. Or a window that looks like its just dirty and won’t come clean. That is because the problem is in between the window glass. Every modern window is insulated for energy efficiency and sometimes the seal that makes it insulated goes bad and discolors or causes moisture build up in the small space between the window glass. It is very frustrating an eye sore and lets face it, windows are expensive! So what is the solution?
I asked myself this on a daily basis up until recently. I would have window cleaning customers ask me why their windows still looked dirty and had to explain a version of what I said above. But the worst part was I didn’t have a solution for them other than I know that there is a way. Really lame reply and I hated it every time. I can now with certainty say “I can fix that for you!” HRS Window Cleaning is now also Window Medics of Austin. I am really excited about this because its something that’s been on my mind for years and it breaks from the monotony of window cleaning.
Not only does it open the way for another revenue stream but it also allows me to serve my customers even more. Window cleaning, pressure washing, gutter cleaning and glass repair and replacement! If you have dirty windows, broken windows, damaged windows and so on you only have to make one phone call… oh and if you have a dirty driveway or siding we can absolutely do that too! Sounds like an awesome combination to me.
I will update more as time goes on because ideally I hope to see a shift from me cleaning windows to more of a glass service role. I will never not offer window cleaning, I am in no way abandoning the trade that got me here. I am simply looking for the opportunity to have a high volume service where the market isn’t saturated, prices are competitive and the work isn’t as labor intensive as I get older.
I have my first couple of jobs coming up so stay tuned to see what I think.
